Kids Give Back Finale!

I hope your children enjoyed Kids Give Back - DO! LOVE! WALK!  Don't forget about the Spirit Night benefiting Tucker Sibiga at Chick Fil A (Virginia Center Commons location) on August 15th.

Kids Give Back - Thursday

Here you go - some more fun snapshots of our time together!  A HUGE thank you to Heather for taking all of these pictures.  

Tomorrow is our final night with the kids.  We have had a great week and the kids are ALL so sweet.  I know that all of the Grace Kids Crew have enjoyed working with your children this week.

Reminders for tomorrow night:

1) Swimsuit or clothes that can get wet and towel

2) Shoes that can be slipped on quickly following water portion but are safe to run in

3) Bike Helmet - Labeled (Trust me there are many duplicate helmets so labels are great)

4) Lawn chairs if you want - We will begin "basic" program at 6:00 with welcome, presenting gift to Sibiga family, Preschool singing 2 songs, Elementary singing one song with some action moves, Triathlon game, and desserts.

Kids Give Back - Wed Update

Reminders for tomorrow:

• We have decided to run through the triathlon tomorrow night with the kids so they will be set for Friday night.  Please send them in something that you don't mind them getting wet along with a labeled towel.  If you want to send a swimming suit with a cover up that is great too. They will also need their bike helmets again tomorrow.  We want to make sure they understand the course before the Family Fun Night.
• Friday night will be the Family Fun Night at 6:00 PM.  
• Directions for parking:  From Atlee Station Rd turn on Giles Farm Rd. Turn Right into Cool Spring Baptist. Please park in the lot on your left.  The game station will be across the road from the parking lot.  Trust me - you won't miss us as we will have a table set up along with orange cones everywhere and a finish line.  
• Please sign in at the table located in the grassy area by the triathlon course and get a bib number for your child.  We will have safety pins as well for you to add to your child's shirt that we will hand out at the registration table.  We will then have stations by age for each child to go with a Grace Kids Volunteer (can't miss us in our green shirts)
• Please bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on for the race.  Please help us in encouraging and cheering for all the kids as they complete the "fun run"  
• DO! LOVE! WALK!
• We will conclude with some desserts and snacks.  We invite you to join us for this part and grab a snack before heading home.

Tonight the focus was on "Love Mercy" - We shared with the kiddos that this means forgiving someone even when they don't deserve it.  We have all been there haven't we. 

The second video is a slideshow of the evening with a lot of pictures of our outside time.  The kids practiced the second leg of the triathlon today.  They were all great sports!!

Unfortunately at the end of the slideshow for one portion of the video it freezes but then picks back up again after about 30 seconds.  Sorry I spent too much time already trying to get it condensed and working - I just don't have energy to try again tonight.

Thank you so much to all the volunteers who help with Grace Kids Ministry!!  It takes many many people working together for Kids Give Back.

All spots are filled for the 2013-2014 school year with Sunday Community Teachers, Children's worship teachers, and Sermon Study teachers.
