Stewards of Children Training

Here is an opportunity to receive training from Greater Richmond SCAN.  

It is for this Sunday! Details Below:

Stewards of Children Training: City Church will host Stewards of Children Training, a nationally recognized sexual abuse prevention training that educates adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. Typically, our mentality toward the idea of sexual abuse is, "it won't happen to my child, or anyone I know." We hope and pray that this is true, but, based on the statistic that 1 in 10 children will be sexually abused before they are 18, the reality is you will most likely know someone who was sexually abused at some point in their life, if you don't already. 

• Sunday, April 19th from 1:00pm-3:30pm in room 311 at Grace Covenant
• Conducted byGreater Richmond SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now)
• All are welcome to attend--feel free to invite others outside of City Church.
• April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month
•  Greater Richmond SCAN is offering this training free of charge

Kindergarten & 1st Grade Children's Worship Class! Love the PERSONALITIES!

 All Children's Worship classes (Preschool - 3rd Grade) will be making a Flowering Cross this Sunday during Children's Worship.  The Flowering Cross is a reminder to us that Jesus offers us new life, eternal life, because He died on the cross

RSVP AND PAYMENT NEEDED ASAP (There are 4 spaces availalble for the 11:15 time slot if you are interested but sign up is needed by Thursday, April 2nd  We will call and cancel the 4 other available spots on Friday, April 3rd).  Elementary Grace Kids activity for Spring Break: Go Ape in Williamsburg on April 9th. We will have 2 time slots: 10:45 and 11:15, 15 kids (adults too if you would like but you can watch from the ground for free) per time slot (ages 6 and up; under 6 require an adult to sign up and participate as well). Cost is $21.60 per person participating in the junior obstacle course.
