Thank you so much to the children and their families for the generous donations for Young Life Capernaum Rockbridge Summer Camp. The total amount we raised was $788.37 - GREAT JOB KIDS!!

Kids Give Back Wednesday Night

I wanted to share the Olympic Oath the children have been reciting all week:

OLYMPIC OATH:
I Will:
              • Help each other
              • Work together with my team
              • Take turns
              • Cheer for my teammates
              • Be a good sport
Thank you so much for the generous donations for the YoungLife Capernaum Rockbridge Camp. We have been showing videos to the children to help them understand who their donations are going to benefit.  We shared a few minutes from the following video this evening:  Rockbridge Capernaum Summer Camp.

Here are some videos of the music the children are learning this week and a nightly slideshow of pictures.

Kids Give Back - Tuesday

Please remember to wear shoes and socks for Wednesday.  Please don't send your child in flip flops due to the game we will be playing (Balloon Hockey).

We talked with the kids more this evening about Capernaum and how their donations will help other people enjoy camp this summer.

Here is a video highlight of our game this evening.  So many smiling faces - I think the kids would have played this game ALL night long!!

Some more pictures (this is only about 4 minutes long - sorry for the long video on Monday)

Kids Give Back - Monday Night

Your kids may enjoy seeing some pictures from their first night at Kids Give Back!
"Treat others the same way you want them to treat you." Luke 6:31
Our theme for last night was:  Be nice to others by helping them.
Game:  Curling with packing peanuts –Teaching us to be gentle servants like Jesus (This may explain some of the pictures when you see the kids working as a team to blow packing peanuts toward hula hoops!!

We are collecting money this week for Young Life Capernaum Rockbridge Summer Camp. We will be talking about YoungLife Capernaum to the children each night so they have an understanding of where their donation is going.

We also use a skit to help introduce the lesson in a very funny way. Ask your kiddos about it!
