Loving Our Mission Partners

Loving Our Missions Partners:
Beginning this Sunday and throughout the month of February we will be focusing on Loving Our Mission Partners during the prayer time each week at church.  Please join us this February as we focus on praying for our mission partners as families.  There will be a display at the welcome table beginning this Sunday with the mission partners we support.  There will be different prayer cards  printed on card stock available each week with prayer requests for the mission partners we support internationally, domestically, and through the mercy offering.  We will be handing out a prayer card/family as you enter church each Sunday through February.  I encourage you to spend time as a family praying for our mission partners.  There will be pictures on the display board as well as the location they are serving in order for you to show this information to your children.

We will have an 11x17 map for each family (one map/family) to take home on Sunday along with a set of stickers (there is a sticker for each mission partner we support).  The thought with the handout is that each week when you take home the prayer card your child could then locate the area the people serve on the map. Then your child can place a sticker on the map.  We wanted them to recognize how we support people all over the world as well as right here in our community.

Grace Kids Worship

Grace Kids Worship
Thank you Megan for introducing a new format for Grace Kids Worship yesterday!!  The music was fun and energetic.  We are using songs from Amber Sky records and I am hoping to make some videos in the upcoming weeks during our Grace Kids Worship time of our leaders and kids so the children can hear the music and see the hand motions.  The kids were so cute this past Sunday because obviously they were a bit "SURPRISED" with the new format.  I look forward to the upcoming weeks and seeing the kids engage more and more with the  music!!

Many, many thanks to Randy for beginning Grace Kids Worship years ago and for Rob, Abe, Joey and  many others who have helped during this time.  Grace Kids Worship is such an important part of our children's ministry program and it is encouraging to see so many adults and youth pouring into the younger children.

Starting off 2014!!

Children's Worship
I was still on vacation mode and failed to update the Wednesday email with the children's worship information.  This coming Sunday the ELEMENTARY class will be asked their catechism questions.  One week the Elementary class is asked and then the next week the Preschool class is asked. We rotate between the two classes.  If your child is missing his/her catechism booklet please let me know. Each child should have his/her own copy at home.  I put stickers in my kiddos booklets as they learn them at church. I use the sheet that is sent home the week they are asked to see what questions they answered correctly. By placing stickers in their booklets I am able to keep up with where each child needs to be practicing.  So many things to keep track of and I would forget without the visual reminder!!

Sunday Communities
Sunday Communities start back this coming Sunday along with a new format for Grace Kids Worship! You won't want to miss it.  Grace Kids Worship will begin at 11:00 with Sunday Communities following at 11:15.
