4G Club Update

Thank you to Jennifer and Becky for leading the 4G Club - Guys Growing in God through Games!!  I wanted to give an update of their time this past month. Here is a short slideshow of their time together.

Their lesson was on accepting and including others.  They played a game called "Left Out" to give the boys an example of what it looks like to exclude someone.  They discussed what it feels like when you are left out of activities.  The boys were asked to think of some reasons that they might have a tendency to do this such as that person may be different in some way or may not play the game as well, etc.  They shared Romans 15:7 "Christ has accepted you so accept one another in order to bring praise to God."  Following the verse they discussed how God accepts all of us just as we are and that we should strive to do the same and include others that we see are being left out as this is pleasing to God.

The video didn't seem to work too well so here are the pictures:

Upcoming News - Grace Kids Worship

Coming up on March 30th we have scheduled for the following 2 songs during the service:
Glory to God and Know you Better
You can check out Glory to God Forever here

These songs will be played during the service before the kids are dismissed for children's worship. The kids will be staying in their seats with parents in order for the entire family to sing together.  Members of the Grace Kids Worship team along with the video for the songs will be played in order to keep the format familiar for the children.

Palm Sunday - April 14th
On Palm Sunday, palms will be handed out at the beginning of the service.  The children will wave the palms while joining the congregation in singing the song King of Glory.
The song will be at the very beginning of the service (Call to worship).

You can go to the following Youtube video to listen to the song.  The kids sang this song last year during Grace Kids worship so hopefully they are a little familiar with it:

If you could familiarize your kids with the chorus of the song that would be great and be more meaningful to them as they sing it at church while waving the palms.

"Who is this King of Glory?
The Lord, strong and mighty"

Article to share

Here is an article from a blog (We are That Family)

After my Target experience with the kids yesterday I just had to post this.

Also thank you so much to those who offered to help with the 3rd - 5th grade Sunday Community class.  I really appreciate it!!

Immediate Need

Please consider helping out with the 3rd - 5th Grade class.  This is a great group of children with great teachers, but due to unfortunate health situations 2 of the teachers had to stop teaching.  This current position would only require 5 weeks from now through early June.  Each week we have 2 teachers help with the class. One teacher prepares and the other teacher helps. This would require only a couple times of planning and the other weeks assisting.  I greatly appreciate you considering this opportunity as a way to help serve our church.  Please let me know ASAP if you are interested at julie@gcpres.org

Palm Sunday Song

Palm Sunday - April 13th

On Palm Sunday, children will be given palms as they enter the service.  They will use these palms during the call to worship song.  The children will wave the palms while joining the congregation in singing the song King of Glory.  You can go to the following Youtube video to listen to the song.  The kids sang this song last year during Grace Kids worship so hopefully they are a little familiar with it:

If you could familiarize your kids with the chorus of the song that would be great and it will be more meaningful to them as they sing it at church.
"Who is this King of Glory?
The Lord, strong and mighty"

Following the service you can turn the palms into a cross.

Please be sure to take home your  palms as you leave church on Palm Sunday.  Check out the following link on how to turn the palm frond into a cross.
