Good Reminder during Advent

I came across this youtube video today when I was preparing for children's worship. It is worth a couple minutes of your time.  We will be sharing the book The King's Christmas List by Eldon Johnson on Sunday during the Elementary Children's worship time.  I love the message in this book of teaching our kids to love giving!

I wanted to send out an update to the Jesse Tree Kit that was handed out at church.  I know the magnet ornaments are small and it is easy to lose them.  Please let me know if you lose any as I have all the supplies and I'm happy to replace them for you.  I am also going to attach the file with the picture ornaments for you if you prefer to make your own. It was very simple using mod podge gloss and marbles.  After printing out the picture ornaments in color you will want to make a photo copy in color before applying mod podge to prevent the pictures from smudging.

Simple Advent Wreath

Thank you so much to a member at church - Christopher - for this great idea!!! 

 He provided me with all the information down to the aisle at Michaels to locate felt to make this advent wreath. I love it and I'm so excited for Sunday to use it.

Items needed to make one wreath:

• 1 piece purple felt (.29)
• 1 piece pink felt (.29)
• Artificial wreath (on sale at Michaels for 2.99)
• Battery operated 12 pack of candles (14.99 - but used a 50% off coupon)
• Only need 5 candles for the wreath so go in with a friend and split the cost!
• Double sided tape - to adhere felt to candles
• I had red pom poms at the house already so I just added to the wreath to make it look festive
• Raffia - I also had this at the house and added around felt for decoration 
• I had the tray pictured below and it worked perfectly for the size of the wreath.
