Upcoming Activities

Superhero Run is coming on April 27th, 2013
Check out the following link for details:  http://www.casarun.com/
"Superman was adopted. Spiderman was an orphan, raised by his aunt and uncle. Batman grew up with his butler, Alfred, who was his guardian and father figure. These superheroes didn't come from typical families, but were able to accomplish great things as adults. This is what we want for our CASA children, who come from backgrounds that are not always ideal. Use your superpowers to support CASA as we make sure abused and neglected children are placed in safe, permanent homes where they can become the people they are destined to be."
Come out and support this important cause if you can.
Please contact Becky at bhaley6@yahoo.com if you have any questions.

Missions opportunity for our children:  GCPC will  be raising money to help support one of our mission partners, Beth Baleke - Scripture Union Uganda Missionary. Beth is raising money to purchase Bibles for one part of Sudan where she works.  The Bibles are $4 a piece to purchase.  Beginning this coming Sunday, there will be a box on the Welcome Table for monetary donations towards purchasing Bibles.  We will be raising money over the next month.
Beth will be visiting GCPC in May and will be presented at that time with the monetary donation collected.  If donations are made by check please make it out to GCPC with Bible in the memo.  This is a tangible way for our young children to be involved in an act of giving.  Beth shared with our missions team how grateful she is for our practical support.

Next Sunday (Palm Sunday - March 24th) you children will be given palms during the closing songs.  Children will be waving the palms while joining the congregation in singing King of Glory.  The following Youtube video plays the song if you would like your children to listen to it before next week.  Grace Kids did sing this song last year as well so they may be familiar with it:  Chris Tomlin - King of Glory

One more thing to highlight - next Wednesday, March 20th at 3:30 we will be having some St. Patrick's day outdoor fun.  We will be meeting at Kings Swings Park.  All ages are welcome to attend. I'm sure there will be a game of football in the field and there is plenty of playground space to run around too.  A snack of Lucky Charms  will be provided.
