Upcoming Activities - Save the dates!!

I wanted to let you know of 2 activities coming up this winter.  Those of you who know me are aware of how far in advance I like to plan.  So here you go:

1) January 18th from 6 - 8 PM = Swimming at Burkwood!!

Swimming in January?!? Yes, it’s our annual Swimming Event!  On Saturday, January 18th kids and parents are invited to Burkwood to go swimming.  Please bring your friends to this fun time.  Plan to arrive at 6:00 pm, start swimming and stay until 8:00 pm.  If you’re interested in coming, please RSVP to Julie Best (389-1979 or julie@gcpres.org).  Hope to see you there!  Cost for the event is $5/family.

2) February 8th - Date Night
The youth group at GCPC along with other helpers will be providing childcare for your children in order for you to have a night out.  The time is from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.  Cool Spring Baptist is allowing us to use their facility for this event.  Pizza, snacks, and drinks (water/juice) are included.  $5/child or $10/family. We will need RSVPs for this event and will send out more details as the time gets closer.  There will be a nursery provided.  We will have many activities planned for the children during this time to keep them entertained. Our goal is to let parents have a fun night out and at the same time giving children an opportunity to have a fun time hanging out together!!

Jesse Tree Gift:  The Jesse Tree kit was handed out yesterday at church.  If you did not receive yours I will have sets available this coming Sunday, Dec 1st.  I wanted to let you know that the cookie sheet works really well displayed in a picture holder. I have all my magnets on the back and as we read each devotion beginning on December 1st the kiddos will add magnets to the front on the tree.

I also wanted to pass along the following website for an activity to do with your children using a nativity set.  The one on this website references the Little People Nativity Set.  This is a "Find and Fill Nativity Game" and clear directions on how to implement are provided - HAVE FUN!!
