Memory Verses - February

First of all I wanted to give a shout out to our Explorers Sunday Community Class for learning the Lord's Prayer.
Take a look at them saying it here using hand motions:  Lord's Prayer Video

SPROUTS (PRESCHOOL)
Please note the Sprouts class will be working on learning all of Psalm 23 (New Kings James Version).  We will help them with their memory work but practicing at home for reinforcement will be great.  We know they are a young group of kids and don’t expect complete memory of this Psalm but exposure to it will be great!! Each week in their Sunday Community Class we are talking about each verse and doing a lesson on it.  The teachers are constantly reviewing the verses with the children.

Psalm 23: 1-8
The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me.  Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

EXPLORERS (RISING K - K)
Isaiah 40:8 “The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever”

SEEKERS (1st - 2nd)
Matthew 4:10 “Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.”

ADVENTURERS (3rd - 5th)
(This class will work on memorizing Psalm 121:1-8 from January – March.)
Psalm 121:1-8  "I lift up my eyes to the mountains - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip - he who watches  over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.  The Lord watches over you - the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm - he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."

Memory Work for Feb = Psalm 121: 5-8  "The Lord watches over you - the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm - he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."
